About Me

I was born in Detroit, MI, raised in Stillwater, OK. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting.  My family means the world to me; besides loving parents I also have two sisters and a brother.

During 2008 - 2011, I worked at an advertising agency in Kansas City area.  Then in August 2011, I decided to take a year off and do volunteer work in Sandakan, Malaysia. There I volunteered for a non-profit organization and was able to teach English as a foreign language to children.  During my time in Malaysia, I was able to learn about the culture, the people, the food and the traditions.  Throughout my year, I was also able to visit many sister countries within the Asia area.

Then September 2012, I moved to Chengdu, China to be an English teacher at Chengdu University.

My passion is inspiring, educating and helping where ever I can, worldwide.  In my own time I enjoy traveling, exploring the outdoors, writing and photography.  As I move from country to country and experience new things with new adventures, I will continue to share my stories with all of you.
